Meet the speaker
Ann Yap-Jequinto is a proud Filipino-American, wife, mother, caregiver, nurse, and longtime Union City community advocate. Born in the Philippines, Ann immigrated to the United States at a young age and grew up believing in the values of family, hard work, education, and service. A proud product of the New Haven Unified School District, Ann attended Cabello Elementary, Alvarado Middle School, and James Logan High School. She earned her Psychology degree from California State University, Hayward, followed by her nursing degree from San José State University.
